In late February 2022, the US warned that Russia intended to invade Ukraine, citing Russia’s military presence at the Russia-Ukraine border. Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded the country within days forcing tens of thousands of refugees to flee the country for the borders of Poland and other adjoining states. The world watched in disbelief and with unanimous support, helped Ukraine fight off the Russian soldiers for as long as possible while condemning the actions of Putin’s Russian war.
